Bulk terminal

In recent years, the state has imposed stricter requirements on bulk terminal safety management and information‑technology development. As port facilities dedicated to the loading, unloading, storage, and handling of bulk cargo, bulk terminals face significant safety risks due to the wide variety of cargoes, complex handling procedures, and the frequent use of conveyor belts, grab buckets, and other handling equipment.

Feiyuanguangdian, addressing the management pain points of bulk cargo terminals, has organically integrated technologies such as BLE, UWB, and Beidou to develop a multi-mode, high-precision Personnel Positioning System. This system meets the positioning needs of both indoor and outdoor environments at bulk cargo terminals, and, tailored to different application scenarios, delivers optimal cost-effectiveness in terms of positioning accuracy, installation costs, and operational maintenance expenses.

Functional Applications

Real-time positioning and tracking of personnel and heavy machinery

Accurately displays personnel’s real-time location and headcount, the battery level of Location Tags, detailed personnel information, and more; provides real-time, precise positioning of ship unloaders, ship loaders, and bucket-wheel excavators, showing their movement status on a map; enables flexible statistical analysis of personnel distribution across different areas; allows users to freely select specific individuals or departments for separate viewing, with the system displaying only the location information of the selected entities.

Multi-level control of key populations

Integrates with the second‑level gate facial recognition time‑keeping system to retrieve information on all personnel who entered the port area on the current day. Information for key personnel or key departments can be edited. A threshold can be set for how long a key person may remain offline; once this duration is exceeded, an SMS alert is sent to the individual, and the system logs the event in the backend. If, after the SMS alert is issued, the individual still fails to come online within the specified time frame, an additional SMS alert is sent to their immediate supervisor, with the corresponding record logged in the system backend.

Belt conveyor overpass alarm

The system is equipped with a belt‑overrun alarm in enclosed corridor areas; if anyone crosses or traverses beneath or above the conveyor belt while it is in operation, the system immediately triggers an alert.

Coastline Overrun Alarm and Life Jacket Recognition

Set up a shoreline crossing alarm: whenever an unauthorized person crosses the line, the system immediately triggers an alert. The system can be integrated with an intelligent video analytics platform to intelligently determine, based on predefined safety and警戒 zones, whether individuals crossing the coastline are wearing life jackets. If a person is detected without a life jacket, the system automatically issues an alarm.

Long-Duration Stay Alarm

The system can define silent zones; for any area outside these zones, if a person remains within a specified radius for longer than the set threshold, the system will trigger an alarm notification.

Value Highlights

Accurately identifying the real-time locations of personnel and equipment at the Port Terminal aims to enhance operational efficiency, eliminate safety hazards, ensure worker safety, and further improve the terminal’s operational efficiency and production capacity. The application of personnel positioning technology at port terminals not only boosts safety and productivity but also drives the terminal’s intelligent development. Looking ahead, as technology continues to advance and application scenarios expand, it is expected that personnel positioning technology will bring even greater convenience and benefits to port terminals.
